I work with hardware synthesizers, audio technologies (cassette, radio), acoustic instruments, field recordings and audio programming across performance, improvisation, installation, sound design and spatialized music composition.
My sonic world drifts between documentary, poetry and dreamscape. My approach emphasizes intuition and experimentation, cultivating a fertile ground for happy accidents.
I have an ongoing fascination with the therapeutic properties of sound. I approach listening as a form of healing: a meditative practice that anchors us in the present, and enables a fuller and deeper experience of our reality. By paying attention to the small, the quiet, the almost imperceptible, listening becomes a practice of empathy. I believe that as we develop greater awareness for our external environments, we also develop greater sensitivity for our inner listening.
Through the use of various microphones and recorders, I explore the artistic potential of everyday sounds, from voice messages of a dear to the seasonal soundscape of a local park. These recordings carry emotional traces of time, places and fleeting moments. Through them, I reflect on themes of identity, memory and the ephemerality of human experience.
Through durational improvised performances, I aim to create space for softness, intimacy and introspection, inviting listeners to slow down and reconnect with themselves. I am drawn to emotionally charged melodies, subtle timbre variations, repetition-induced auditory illusions, ASMR-like accumulative textures, and the hypnotic rythmicity of loops. My music often evokes melancholy, nostalgia, and longing for something that has passed.
